As I was reading a post on my mom's site, it got me thinking about how different TV is now. I mean, remember all those classics? All the shows now all seem to be the same. They all have the same plot, just different people. The cartoons now all are anime and basically are about the same thing. There's nothing new and original. Sure, the producers have taken classics like Spider Man and kids still get to watch it. But, it's not the same. Spider Man now has all these fancy outfits and the artwork is so detailed. Call me old fashioned, but I like the old Spider Man. The old Batman. The old Ninja Turtles.
When I was my brother's age, you know what I was watching? Bugs Bunny. Bugs Bunny dressing up like a woman. I found it the funniest thing ever. I also loved watching the Magic School Bus. Now my youngest brother is watching these anime cartoons that I can't even pronounce the name. The one thing about his cartoons, is they all have these monsters on cards. I don't understand it. I guess Pokemon really started some trend.
I don't know. TV just isn't the same. It makes you think, what are they going to air in 10 years? I mean, they already show partial nudity on TV..so in 10 years, will it all just be some giant porno?
Oi. TV is going to be a scary thing. I've noticed that people already let the TV control them. For example, Nick. The first thing he does when he comes home is turns on the TV. I've asked him several times, can't you just sit there and read? Or listen to music? Why do you have to have the tv on? He has tried to go without...but watching him without the tv on when it's sitting right there is like watching a crack addict without his crack.
It's really bad.
So I'm asking, how long can you go without the TV on?
